President

Travis’ primary areas of responsibility include directing and evaluating the technical aspects of projects, developing methods and techniques for new opportunities within WEGAI, and implementing the firm’s quality assurance program. In this manner, Travis ensures that all work performed by the company is consistent and of the highest quality. Travis is committed to ensuring WEGAI remains a leader in providing innovative solutions for structural evaluation of electrical and mechanical equipment.   

Travis earned his Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Boise State University.  He maintains his professional structural engineering license in the States of California, Illinois, and Hawaii and civil engineering license in the States of California, Idaho, Washington, Wyoming, New Mexico, Florida, Maryland, Montana, and Pennsylvania. He is also a NCEES Record Holder and can obtain reciprocity by committee in any state.

Travis is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).  He is an active participant of the IEEE-693 Standard committee on recommended practices for seismic design of substations.

David Gundy, PE

Executive Vice President

David’s primary focus is implementing procedures to promote the goals, objectives, and policies of the company. He is responsible for developing and overseeing programs to support business development and company growth. He is also actively involved in operations management, by assigning responsibilities to employees, preparing proposals and quotations, and evaluating the technical aspects of projects.

David earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Boise State University.  David maintains his professional civil engineering licenses in the States of California, Idaho, Louisiana, New York, North Carolina, Ohio and Texas.

David is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).  He also participates on the IEEE-693 Standard committee on recommended practices for seismic design of substations.

 

 

 

 

Bill Gundy

Founder

Bill is a globally-renowned expert in earthquake engineering, based on his 40 years of unparalleled experience in structural dynamic testing and analysis of power distribution equipment and structures.

He founded and incorporated the firm in 1981. In 2017, after selling the firm to David and Travis, Bill retired from the industry.
