WEGAI is the leading consulting firm for the seismic qualification of transmission and distribution equipment by analysis, testing, or a combination of these techniques. Our roots are founded in the T&D industry when Bill Gundy headed to a ranch in the mountains of Idaho in 1989 to seismically test a full scale series capacitor platform with an Eccentric Mass Exciter for General Electric and Power Engineers. We have since seismically qualified nearly all types of equipment that one would find in a generation facility, substation, or along a transmission line by analysis and/or testing. We have been active committee members of the IEEE-693 standard since its inception and continue to contribute our wealth of experience in implementing the standards written requirements. The following list details the different services we can provide to the T&D industry.
