The Safegear product line was tested at Clark Dynamics in Pittsburgh, PA for compliance with ICC AC-156 with Ip=1.5.  The unit was tested for rooftop installation at the highest mapped MCE spectral response acceleration level in North America. 

Finite Element (FE) analysis was utilized prior to testing to predict the outcome of the test.  It was determined that a slight modification to the anchorage would ensure the unit would perform as desired and withstand the accelerations at the highest level of testing.  The modification was fabricated and implemented at the test facility prior to testing. 

The video of the time history test illustrates relatively low displacements at very high acceleration levels due to the relatively stiff design.
